Contrary to popular belief, fall isn’t a bad time to list your home. If it’s priced right and in great condition, it will sell.

Should you sell your home this fall?
Should you sell your home this fall?
There are a lot of pros and cons to this question. A lot of home sellers insist on waiting until next spring to list their home, but I can tell you from experience that the demand for homes remains strong throughout the fall and even winter. We do a lot of business during these seasons.
If you put your home on the market in the fall, you’ll face a lot less competition from other sellers because so many of them buy into the myth that it’s a bad time to sell then. Fall is, in fact, a great time to list your house, and inventory is at an all-time low right now both nationwide and in our Columbia area.
If your home is priced properly and in great condition, it will sell.
Of course, with the recent VC Summer layoffs, inventory in the Chapin area in the $200,000 price range is up 25%. If you’re in that area and you’re looking to move, you might be better off waiting a little while. Then again, if your home is priced properly and in great condition, it will sell—the buyer pool is still out there.
